SUPRACOR™ - The new excimer laser presbyopia procedure
SUPRACOR is a new corneal approach that is used to treat presbyopia with TECHNOLAS Excimer Workstation 217P. The procedure is designed for the full refractive treatment range: hyperopia (CE Marked), myopia, post-cataract (Pseudophakic), and post LASIK. The procedure provides excellent distance, intermediate and near vision, whilst maintaining a high quality of vision.
Implantable corrective lenses- Phakic IOL
Phakic IOL implants are tiny lenses designed to be placed permanently within the eye to correct vision problems. They are made from a material that allows them to stay in the eye without needing any care. They are removable, if necessary, but this is rarely done. Implanting one of these special lenses offers dramatic positive results.

It is a surgical procedure that is meant to help and correct a range of sight issues including nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism. Any person who has these sight-related issues can benefit from LASIK surgery.
Most studies and overall practice so far shows that this surgery is quite safe and poses minimal risks of complications. However, since this surgery is performed on the internal and delicate part of the eye, there is a slight risk involved.
Since patients are given topical anaesthetic in the form of eye drops, they experience no pain during the procedure. After the procedure, many patients feel a foreign body sensation or as though they are wearing a dirty contact lens. This usually subsides in a few hours.
LASIK surgery involves quick recovery. Many patients report good vision a day or two after the procedure. However, vision can constantly improve over three to four months.

Regular eye examination every six to twelve months is recommended. However, if you start witnessing any vision-related problems, visit a doctor as soon as you can to find the root cause of the problem.
